Cheesy Garlic Biscuits

Cheesy Garlic Biscuits Recipe

I love love LOVE these biscuits! They are by far my favorite go-to / semi-fancy bread when people are coming over soon or we’re asked to bring a bread to a potluck. I’m not proud to say that I’ve begged the hubby to go to Red Lobster…just for their bread. I’m actually really not a fan of a single thing on the menu, but that bread keeps calling me back. Capturing the crave-worthy taste of Red Lobster’s famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits was the goal…and this is as close as I’ve come to tasting the magic of those biscuits in a homemade version. This recipe is based on a Paula Dean recipe and is in my permanent collection for sure!

  • 1 1/4 Cups Biscuit Mix (I use Bisquik)
  • 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • (I sometimes add a little garlic salt or garlic powder into the dough for extra flavor)

Garlic Butter:

  • 1/2 Stick Unsalted Butter, Melted
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Parsley Flakes (to sprinkle on top)

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F.
Coat Baking Sheet with Non-Stick Cooking Spray
Mix biscuit mix and cheese in a bowl.
Add the water and stir until thoroughly combined.
Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto the baking sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes.
While biscuits are baking:
Combine melted butter, garlic powder and salt in a small bowl.
Remove and brush with garlic butter.
Return biscuits to oven for 2-4 minutes.
Remove and brush with garlic butter.
Sprinkle biscuits with dried parsley flakes.
