Spooky Spider Cupcakes

How cute…I mean scary are these spooky spider cupcakes? These would so fun to put together as a family and would be a tasty addition to a Halloween party. This is a quick and easy themed dessert to pull off. Hope everyone is getting excited for October. I know I am! Now to find the perfect first Halloween costume for Baby D…

Ingredients:

  • your favorite chocolate cake cupcakes (box mix or homemade)
  • chocolate frosting
  • chocolate sprinkles
  • black string licorice or Twizzlers, cut into 2 inch strips
  • Wilton eyeball candy (so much easier than trying to make the eyeballs out of candies)

Directions:

  1. Spread a thin layer of chocolate frosting over each cupcake.
  2. Quickly dip cupcakes into a bowl of chocolate sprinkles until the surface is covered.
  3. Set eyeball candies in place before frosting dries.
  4. To add legs, poke small holes in cupcakes using a bamboo stick and insert licorice legs.
  5. Enjoy your spooky little treat!

Pretend (like it’s not 85 degrees outside) Fall Sunday morning breakfast at it’s finest. We’re easing our way into Fall this year and these gingerbread pancakes were the perfect recipe to start off the season. These are a little more on the cakey side of the pancake spectrum, but the flavor from the spices was spot on. Greek Chicken Marinade

We have fallen head over heels for this Greek marinade. It is fresh tasting, super simple and quick to throw together on a busy weeknight. Serve with a couple of sides for dinner and slice the leftovers to go with a salad for lunch the next day. To be honest, it’s not the most attractive of dishes, but don’t hold that against it because this marinade is packed with flavor and will make this chicken melt in your mouth. So good!
